Sacramental Preparation: First Reconciliation & First Communion

This is the path for families that have a child who is preparing for First Reconciliation and First Communion. These are families who typically have a child in the second grade, though not always! Your whole family (yes, even those who have already received First Communion!) participates together in an at-church activity once a month. Between monthly at-church meetings, parents are asked to lead one or more faith-based activities at home.  There is a family retreat experience in preparation for each sacrament. The materials we are using for First Reconciliation preparation are called MEND and for First Eucharist preparation are called NOURISH.

Families on this path will select one of four teams to join.

• Faithful Friends: 1 Sunday/month (usually early in the month), 12:30-1:45 p.m. (Cohasset)
• Shining Stars: 1 Tuesday/month, 5:30-7:00 p.m. (Cohasset)
• Spirit Squad: 1 Thursday/month, 5:30-7:00 p.m. (Hull)
• Graceful Giants: 1 Sunday/month (usually late in the month), 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (Cohasset)

Saint Anthony of Padua Parish and Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish strive to be a community of families growing in faith together. We are at different places in our spiritual lives, but disciples are formed when we are on the journey together. We want to have adults and children learning about the same topic in their own way and help give parents language to share faith with their children. Faith formation is lifelong!
